Product Description
Classic styling and high performance add up to an outstanding sport watch for your land or sea adventures. This two-tone automatic watch, from Invicta's Pro Diver series, places a large round stainless steel case on a robust steel bracelet with gold-plated center links. The electric blue dial is designed for quick and easy read-off, even in low light conditions. It offers three-hand function with luminous hands and markers and a magnified date display at the three o'clock position. The detailed hands, in Mercedes, sword, and breguet-style logo shapes, add a note of distinction. The dial is capped with a resilient mineral crystal and framed by a blue unidirectional rotating steel bezel with goldtone markings and coin edge detailing. This watch is driven by a Japanese automatic movement, which is visible through the see-through skeleton case back. It is rated water resistant to a full 200 meters.

Pro Diver Collection

Plunge into any horizon using the steadfast guidance of the Invicta Pro Diver. Stylishly classic, internal workings are forged with variations of either Swiss chronograph or 21-jewel automatic movements and willingly navigate in depths up to 300 meters. Built with confident prowess, the fortitude with which these timepieces function makes the Pro Diver the quintessential in performance.

Automatic Watches

Automatic watches do not operate on batteries. Automatic watches are made up of about 130 or more parts that work together to tell time. Automatic movements mark the passage of time by a series of gear mechanisms, and are wound by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. The gear train then transmits the power to the escapement, which distributes the impulses, turning the balance wheel. The balance wheel is the time regulating organ of a mechanical watch, which vibrates on a spiral hairspring. Lengthening or shortening the balance spring makes the balance wheel go faster or slower to advance or retard the watch. The travel of the balance wheel from one extreme to the other and back again is called oscillation. Lastly, automatic movements come in different types, including movements that are Swiss-made, Japanese-made, and more.

Also referred to as self-winding, watches with automatic movements utilize kinetic energy, the swinging of your arm, to provide energy to an oscillating rotor to keep the watch ticking. They're considered more satisfying to watch collectors (horologists) because of the engineering artistry that goes into the hundreds of parts that make up the movement. If you do not wear an automatic watch consistently (for about 8 to 12 hours a day), you can keep the watch powered with a watch winder (a great gift for collectors).

User Reviews

This 8928OB is the best one of Invicta men watch. The price and quality is very excellent. I have plan to buy more as gift for my boy friend. I recommend this Invicta watch to you.

Received my watch in package with glass off the watch. Called customer service. They sent me a replacement, and charged UPS for the damage. Took about a week to receive replacement. Product and warranty is excellent given its price.

This is my second Invicta Watch both are Pro Divers. The first is the black face with black dial. I love both of them. They are great watches if you are looking for a really nice looking watch or even a nice watch to wear everyday. The only negative is that you need to wear the watch every because the automatic only keeps time for 24 hours otherwise is dies. Not a big deal for those who do not mind reseting the time occasionally.

Ive had this watch for about 6 months now, and I have to say that it is well worth the money. The build of the watch is conservative in a way, in that it is only 40mm. The color combination though is what really sets it out there, with a deep blue face set off by the gold and silver accents. An interesting thing to note is that in the light, the blue has kind of a sunburst effect which really adds on to its beauty, and in the shade, it features a more royal blue color. As for the arms, the second hand is impressive as it does seem to glide across the face of the watch, and the minute and hour arms add on to the sharpness of the watch. The lum I never had an issue with. It lasts the better part of the night for me and is descent. Looking at it, it is easy to see the similarities between it and the Rolex Submariner. Don assume though that thats what you e getting, because its not. What you are getting though is a beautiful, functional watch and at mere fraction of the cost. If you want to know, I got mine for $95.99. I do recommend though that you get the $4 sizing tool cause if you take it to a jeweler, itll cost you an easy $15. Now to a problem a lot of people seem to have with the watch: its power reserve. All my reply is, is what did you expect. This is not a quarts watch, its automatic, meaning that it has no battery but rather is powered by reserved kinetic energy you can make either by wearing it or winding it or both more preferably. This makes it less accurate in the fact that it is powered on a continuously changing power source. Honestly though, if you plan on wearing it everyday, you won notice it too much. Mine only loses a little less than two minutes a week. My Seiko 5 I admit does a better job, but simply doesn have the same heft and looks as this watch. It is a good alternative if you like that and you can look it up on Amazon. Mine was the SNK375K1 and I have a review and hopefully some pictures too on it if you would like to look at it. Another problem Ive read on from other customers is that the gold plating on the band wears off too fast. I would have to attest to this though, because as it does wear off eventually, its kind of expected under certain conditions. I mean Ive rubbed part of mine off, but thats on the parts where it is exposed to constant rubbing on a desk most of the day. That though, took me the better part of 4 months to do, and on a daily basis of 8 hours. So these people who complain about it coming off in a week are obviously doing something a bit more than what they are saying. If you have any questions or want any specific pictures taken of the watch, just leave a comment below.
A Real Gem at the Price  : 2012-04-09 14:18:10

This is my first Invicta watch. I was super skeptical when I first ordered it, I am from Missouri which is the show me state. I figured that this watch was to good to be true. I have had it for only a couple days, so this review is after owning it for a short time. I must say that I am quite pleased with this watch. The second hand moves like a Rolex with a continuous movement. I paid $85 for this watch, and it is pretty solid for what I paid for it. We will see how long it lasts, but this watch is in the price range of a cheap Fossil, and I definitely feel like I am getting more watch than if I bought a Fossil. I understand that this watch is NO ROLEX, but it is pretty darn good for being an $85 dollar watch. The only thing I don like about this watch is getting complemented on my new Rolex and having to explain that it is an $85 dollar Invicta. People around the office think it is pretty cool. For $85 bucks I think that this watch is a good buy for somebody who wants a cool watch, but just can quite afford a $5,000 Rolex equivalent. I am eventually going to get a Rolex Submariner, but this will suffice until I get a HUGE promotion. I give it a BUY!

I placed my order and received my watch in a very timely manner. All was perfect with packaging and contents. My wife has had the womens version for several years and has been very satisfied with hers. I was not prepared to drop the coin involved in purchasing the Rolex Submariner at this time so this was a very nice looking inexpensive substitute until Im prepared to part with the money involved with the Rolex. Watch has kept perfect time with only one adjustment needed in the two months I have owned it. I am very happy with my purchase at this time. We will see how the watch fares over the next year.

Pros: I looked at this watch at Sams club and they wanted 100.00+ dollars. I looked on Amazon while still at Sams club and found it for the price described. I went back to the watch dept at Sams and ask the lady if they could match the price and they could not. So needless to say I came home and purchased this watch from Amazon.com and recieved it in the amount of time stated. It comes in a nice collectors box and the coolest part is being able to see the jewels and the mechanism on the backside that winds the watch up. This watch is exactly how you see it in the pictures and looks real nice on my wrist, almost looks like a Rolex. I have noticed many people looking at my watch while talking and I think, they think its a Rolex. Cons: Of course if youre not the type to wear a watch a lot you will need to set the time and date, because after 24 hours of non use it stops until you pick it up. And by the time you set everything and put it on, its running again until it sits for another 24 hours.

I could not be happier with this watch for the money paid. I have this model and the identical 7180 with the white face and neither has done anything weird in years of ownership. I wear it every day and after a few months they e both down to losing less than a minute per month. Truth be told Im always resetting the time to match my phone, car or office clock so thats not even an issue with the watch. I get nothing but compliments on how they look, especially how clear the crystal face is. I bang these watches on things all the time and only one bezel has a small blemish. I actually just got back from a cruise where they were really pushing watches and the shopping consultant told me that he really liked my watch and asked what else I needed in a watch when he saw me looking at some Citizens. I told him really the only thing this watch doesn have is a compass feature but thats a specialty thing.

This was my 5th Invicta watch, and I also have the black and Stainless version for 6 years was my first Invicta. Let me tell you...this watch is a work horse and keeps time as good as the Rolex I have, only 5k less. The only issue I see is that the gold layering does not hold up well in that spot on the back of the wrist. $350 Watch for $125 dollars... Shipping 15 dollars... Everyone at work thinking its a Rolex.........Priceless!

as with the 8926 this is equally as a impressive watch as the 8926 . using the same exact movement and case contruction as the 8926 its practically identical watch except for the color . i would have to say honestly it wasnt until i owned this watch that i came to the reality that i love the basic 8926 stainless steel and black face and black bezel look over this two-tone version of this 8928. just not crazy about the whole swiss gold layering thing . not to say that invicta does not do a fantastic job with it , but its still just a gold alayering and not real gold . with that said this is still a great great watch .the best way to sum up this watch along with the 8926 is u spend $100.00 and ur getting a $500.00 $600.00 watch!!! alot of times we spend more and get less , not here u spend less and get alot , alot more !!!!

I like this watch. Other positive reviews are right on the mark so I won rehash them, but I will note a couple of things that might be of interest to potential buyers. The first is that this is a throwback watch. It goes to the days before batteries when watches had mainsprings and had to be wound every day. the automatic winding was an innovation to reduce or eliminate this necessity. So as some have pointed out it is less accurate than electronic quartz watches. Thats just the nature of this type of movement. Shouldn be a deal breaker unless you are obsessed on accuracy. Just set it once a week or so. You will see reviews that indicate you might want to purchase a watch winder. In fact the Invicta instruction booklet recommends a watch winder box. I beg to differ. This watch sells in the vicinity of $100. If you check the prices of watch winders you will see that the starting price is around $40 and goes well past the cost of the watch itself. Do you want to pay half the price of the watch for an automatic winder? I didn think so. So heres the deal, you can wind this watch up everyday just like all the old time watches. I wind it for about 60 seconds a day and it never stops. I do this because I don produce enough daily motion couch potato to keep it running. Why does Invicta recommend a winder? Simple. This is a waterproof watch and the stem is threaded and must be kept snugged down to maintain the waterproof integrity. Since the stem is spring mounted it takes some pressure on the threads to do this. So if you unwind the stem over and over you will eventually either strip or wear out the threads. NOW IF YOU ARE GOING TO SWIM FREQUENTLY OR DIVE, THEN DONT TAKE THIS ADVICE. YOU WILL NEED A WATCH WINDER BOX. But if you don need the waterproof aspect then just unwind the stem, release the pressure, wind the watch, and JUST LEAVE THE STEM OUT. In other words don screw the stem back on. Now one word of caution. On old windup watches you wound the stem until it stopped. This kept you from overwinding the mainspring. I don know if this watch has a stop. Probably not. So be careful about too much winding. You can figure out how much you need based on the overall wrist motion you achieve for automatic winding. My other advice, if you have good eyesight, have a little patience, and are not a type A personality, is to purchase the Heavy Duty Watch Band Tool Link Pin Remover for about $3.75. I got my wife a companion watch and successfully removed several links from both watches with no problem. You are going to have to either do this yourself or go get someone to do it for you. That is unless you want to use the watch as a bracelet. I have known a couple of folks that did this with genuine Rolex watches. They didn want to remove the gold links & maybe lose them. Or maybe it was a style issue. Anyway thats my 2 cents. All the good things that have been said about the watch I give a ditto to. The watch is gaudy & it will get noticed. The folks a table away in the restaurant will suppose its a Rolex.

This is the second one of these watches Ive bought my first one I had for 3 years till it was stolen. My fault I left it in my car. I loved it so much, I wanted to replace it with the same watch. I could have chosen a different watch but this model is GREAT, I get a lot of complements on it. Thank you Invicta... if I loose this one Ill buy another one if they are still in production...

Purchased this watch as upscale option to daily-wearer Invicta 8926OB similar to stainless Submariner. Workmanship looks excellent and beautiful, but don know re longevity of gold plating, so am very careful with it. Own four Invicta Pro Divers, and they all gain a little time, as is typical of automatic watches - even typical of the watches these tend to emulate Ive owned some. All my Miyota movements have proven very solid and reliable and this one should be no exception. Mineral crystals tend to scratch fairly easily, but Invicta will upgrade to sapphire for about $75 should you desire... Would recommend this watch to anyone, as it seems to be yet another excellent value!

Don listen to the reviewers who say this watch feels or looks cheap! This watch is heavy, solid, and very well made. Its size, color, and finish really exceeded my expectations when I first opened the box. In fact, sometimes I still take it out just to admire it. It also looks almost exactly like the Rolex equal maybe 98% the same. I also enjoy the coin-edge bezel more than the newer scalloped version. The only slight concern I have is the screwdown crown. Sometimes it feels like the threads are crossing a little. One has to be very careful when first engaging the treads on a screwdown. If you love the Rolex version but don want to spend your childrens college fund for a watch that you can wear or youll cry when its scratched, then this Invicta watch will really satisfy! Trust me :

I was considering investing $6500.00 for a Rolex Submariner, then $1000.00 for a Tag version of the same watch when I came across this Invicta for $99.00 ! I figured what could I possibly lose ? This watch is absolutely as impressive looking and feeling as either of the aformentioned time pieces. Comes packaged very nicley as well. Ive received many compliments on this watch ! It keeps great time; just has to be reset if you don wear it every day...invest in a watch winder !

Although this was a Christmas present, I have a great Mother-in-Law I actually picked it out myself. It is such an impressive watch. Not only is it beautiful, its heavy, not in a bad way. You can feel and see the quality in this watch. The blue color is so much more brilliant than the Rolex. Ive read that some buyers had trouble with the watch not keeping time. Not me. I set it with my cell phone the day I received it and after the first 2 weeks, when I had to adjust for central time when I flew to Chicago, I checked it against my cell phone and it was on the money. I was on my job site when one of my contractors was the first to mistake it for a Rolex. I was honest with him, but what a great feeling. I already have my next Invicta picked out. Thank you!

Opened the box, and it looked just like the picture. If you look for OB on the Invicta site, you won find it. Stands for old bezel design. I guess Rx thought it looked too much like theirs. The current bezel is more scalloped. As a diver, I like the OB as it is easier to move when your fingers are wet. Ill update if the gold starts to come off or if anything else goes wrong, but for now, I give this a: Buy it Now!

Take all of the positive and extensive reviews of this watch, roll them into one, and you have my review. Im writing mainly to offset the one star review: I spent 50 cents and less than a minute at a country jeweler to have two iinks removed. Most jewelers whom you do business with will take out links free so why mail the watch off? This is an outstanding watch!
GREAT WATCH ON ITS OWN - PRICE A HUGE BONUS  : 2012-04-09 14:14:41

I really like this watch for everyday wear! This was my first Invicta watch purchase. I am HARD on watches - some last less than a year before they fail or break or fall out of favor. Ive become a great fan of Invicta Sports watches. Invicta is to Seiko what Infiniti is to Nissan. Better quality, design and engineering - more attractive styling at a great price. I chose this model 8928 for a match to my University ring and school colors. This is a VERY attractive watch. With a Japanese auto-wind movement visable through mineral glass transparent back, water resistance to 660 feet Ive had it to 130 ft with no problems - superior quality on fit and finish - it makes a striking statement on your wrist. It looks intentionally very much like a Rolex Submariner who watch collectors qualify as a very good $800 watch that sells for $3,000!. Things I like: 1. VERY attractive timepiece - striking design and engineering 2. Fit, finish, style and quality are superior to more expensive watches 3. A great diving watch for a great price 4. Transparent mineral glass watch back reduces chance of skin irritation for wear every day 5. Two tone stainless wrist band is high quality, attractive and comfortable 6. Timekeeping is tolerably accurate for an autowind 7. No batteries 8. Watch movement should last 4-5 years before major servicing 9. Watch face magnifier for date Things Id like to see improve 1. Power reserve - watch will wind down if not worn every other day 2. Requires a seperate watch autowinder to keep time and date if not worn daily 3. NOT a chronometer - time must be adjusted monthly after reak-in period 4. 23k gold plate links on wristband prone to scratching 5. Too inexpensive to invest in a 4-5 year major maintenance - buy another one? The Invicta sports model series 8926 all stainless diving watch has been their franchise for many years. All 89xx series are attactive well made watches that look much more expensive than they are. Ive seen prices from $118 to $155 for this model - all merchants claiming low price. Be careful of a vendors reliability and customer service. Invicta may not honor its warranty from gray market merchants. If not an authorized dealer - be sure the seller offers an in-house warranty that promises fast turnaround on repair. The Invicta 8928 is an attractive, low cost, high quality time piece. You can go wrong with this model. Invicta 8928 - When style and quality aren't enough  : 2012-04-09 14:14:26
____________________________________________________________________________

Im an Arizona bankruptcy lawyer, and when my clients gasp in horror about losing their Rolexes, which are far too expensive to be exempt under Arizona exemption laws, I tell em not to worry. I tell em to buy an Invicta! Nine out of ten people won notice the difference if you normally wear a Rolex and switch to an Invicta as long as it has the coin bezel, which this watch, per the photo, does. From the perspective of the moral high ground, this watch doesn say its a Rolex. It doesn have the word Rolex anywhere on it, and it does have the word Invicta featured on the face where the word Rolex would be, and the word Invicta deeply engraved on the edge of the watch on the other side from the stem. This watch weighs about the same as a Rolex, is water-resistant to the same depth as a Rolex, and is an automatic self-winding watch, just like the Rolex Submariner. The colors are similar as well. There are two principal differences between this watch and a Rolex. One is that the gold colored links on the Invicta are gold-plated, and they will eventually scratch. The other is the price; this thing is dramatically less expensive than the BAND on a Rolex, and the quality is similar. In fact, it costs less to buy this watch than to CLEAN a Rolex! For traveling, you absolutely want this watch instead of a Rolex, because when you e robbed, you get to think, hey, now I get to buy a new one! rather than thinking, Seven thou out the window! Actually, theres another thing. If you file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy in Arizona, you get to keep this watch. You don get to keep the Rolex, unless you buy it back from the Arizona Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee. And, yes, I wear one every day of my life. In and out of the shower or the pool. And they always run, and never need new batteries. Ive never even cleaned one in the many years Ive have these, and they, to steal a phrase, just keep ticking. So does it sound like I like these things? That would be wrong. I love these watches. Too cool for school.
